In this magic realist meditation on memory and beauty amid the ravages of the 21st Century, a young boy, Theo, discovers at an early age that his heart is a camera, capable of capturing the vitality and beauty of the world around him. The trauma of an early childhood event forces Theo to hide his heart camera until, as a young man, he falls in love and his magical sensitivity returns. It is a second act of violence that forces him to choose between burying his heart camera again forever or living with his heart open in a painful and complicated world.
