Pleased to share this Sheryl Crow (with special guest Brandi Carlile) music video I co-DPed (with the venerable Josh Goleman). Editing and VFX also mine. Directed by one of the hugely talented veteran storytellers of the music world, Peter Harding. Watch it here.
For Logo TV, shooting a rencontre between a conversion therapy surviver and former practitioner turned proselytizer of the invidiousnesses of such practices. A heavy and emotional interface, indeed.
Twin RuPaul’s Drag Race pre-lights for VH1—the first day in a capacious cyc studio in Brooklyn, lighting two sets concurrently; the second day at Viacom’s studios on Hudson street, also lighting two matching mirror sets for make-up tutorials.
RuPaul High Tea! redux. DP-ing, with same sets and lighting for a second installment of High Tea. Always fun to shoot these queens.
I’m in the Big Easy, shooting this rapper on the ascent, Kevin Gates for Tour Gigs. He and his retinue are lovely folk, and I’m impressed by the way he seems to be mayor of New Orleans as we shoot walking b-roll.
The music video I DP-ed for the multi-talented Brittain Ashford, directed by talented and delightful dear friend Tim Chaffee, is out! Watch it here.
DP-ing this MTV Unplugged-esque series for MTV News, Office Hours. This installment features the enfant terrible Conan Gray.
High Tea! Shooting these fabulous drag queens in a RuPaul wrap-up tertiary piece for Logo TV.
Shooting, for LA-based Content Group/Asylum, an interview for an incipient doc on Chernobyl, interviewing a fellow, just in from Ukraine, who is not skittish about radiation.
Another collaboration with Danny Clinch, Tour Gigs, and Another Planet begins with a 16mm film shoot featuring paint and projections, the beginnings for a bricolage title sequence for an upcoming film on the 50th anniversary of Monterey Pop.
