An enormous truck

July 27th, 2016

Midtown in July can be Hadean, but we brave the benighted tourists and those unlucky New Yorkers who have no abode in the Hamptons to cull via digital acquisition their honest thoughts on Wendy’s refreshing fruit samplers for CBS Altitude Group. Moreover, it is an opportunity to drive by Grand Central in an enormous truck.

OM full VFX dispatched

July 10th, 2016

Besides minor tweaks, only color correct and sound design remain for OMPHALOS, and we dispatch another cut to the enfilade of elite industry opinion. I’ll leave it there.

Condé Nast BTS, un-reticulated

July 6th, 2016

I’m masquerading (a dangerously close rhyme with ‘pasquinade’) as a set documentarian for a spot for Condé Nast, a fly on the wall in a hot domicile without cell service, someplace in sylvan Pennsylvania. We discuss politics into the un-reticulated night.

Up in the air

June 22nd, 2016

A perilous, palpitating, but utterly exhilarating day of work for IWC Schaffhausen, shooting watch aficionado Adam Craniotes learning to fly a plane for the first time. (Later this week, we rock climb for the first time in upstate NY—a vertiginous seven days!) Video ensuing.

Grilling in Atlanta

June 16th, 2016

In Atlanta, hired through über brilliant and talented Naiti Gámez as an additional DP for a Delta spot. I’ve never seen a grill made out of an airplane. Luckily catch the polymath, Renaissance man Ty Walker in his natural habitat.

June 11th, 2016

For months, I’ve been working on a new cinema musical, a bricolage of forms. First demo is up here. Check the meter.

June 1st, 2016

The last drops of VFX, tantalizingly close. My own shots continue.

Anchoring Anchor

May 25th, 2016

Shooting BTS (on a Scarlet, no less) for the hard-working folks at Anchor (a spot for a Chilean telecom), back at OMPHALOS haunt Alder Manor. The next week is spent editing and scoring the piece.

Two shots=1 day

May 24th, 2016

Two shots form a day: lending a hand to DP a short pick-up for Anchor’s massive Digicel spot.

Frangible but persevering (plus UFOs!)

May 19th, 2016

Back to a sedulous CHOPPED schedule. The first few days, our rhythm is besieged by frangible equipment plus Murphy’s Law (the only law that obtains in production), but we persevere. I am blessed with a savvy, delightful raconteur of a PA, Billy, who shares a convincing story of UFO sighting.
